Starting Industrial Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “the Company”) hereby establishes “privacy policies concerning personal information protection” (hereinafter referred to as “the Policy”) as below to express its approach to protecting personal information and its view regarding handling personal information, and endeavors to protect personal information by making the Policy known thoroughly to all officers and employees of the Company.

Basic Policies

The Company recognizes its social responsibility to appropriately protect and use personal information and shall comply with the Law on Personal Information Protection, other relevant laws and regulations, and the Company’s own regulations including the Policy in the course of performing its various operations in order to protect and use personal information in an appropriate manner.

Appropriate Acquisition

The Company shall obtain personal information only as necessary to perform its operations by proper and appropriate means.

Purpose of Use

The Company shall specify purposes of the use of personal information and use it only as necessary to fulfill the purposes and not for any other purpose whatsoever.

Restriction on Supplying Personal Information to Third Parties

The Company shall not, as a rule, supply personal information to a third party except for the case when prior consent has been obtained from the person responsible for such information or the case when such supply of personal information is based on any laws and regulations. The Company may, however, supply personal information to a third party without obtaining the prior consent of the person responsible for such information when the Company entrusts another company to handle personal information as necessary so that such company can fulfill the Company’s purposes of the use of personal information, when the Company is requested to disclose personal information by laws and regulations or when the Company is forced to supply personal information by the administrative authorities concerned.

Measures to Protect Personal Information

The Company shall safely store personal information while keeping it accurate and updated, and take reasonable safeguards against leakage, loss, tampering, divulgence, and the like. The Company shall also appropriately supervise its employees who handle personal information and other companies with which the Company has entrusted the personal information.

Continuous Improvement

The Company shall review the Policy from time to time in view of the development of information technology, changes in social demands, etc. so as to continuously improve the way the Company handles personal information.
